I’ve committed to writing a blog a day for the month of November. I’m already off target because I didn’t post anything the first six days of the month. I was too hung up on finding the right name for my blog. Maybe I should’ve listened to the advice I tell my students: “Don’t worry about the title. Get the ideas down, and then the title will come to you.” That’s exactly what happened yesterday, a moment of pure inspiration in responding to a friend’s facebook post, a title that truly reflects what I do. I teach from the heart.

So, here’s post number two, not nearly as profound as yesterday’s but a post nonetheless. More advice I give my students, “sometimes you just have to start writing and the ideas will come. You just have to get past the blank page.”
